This Atlantic Monthly articles tackles pre college writing instruction, but I think it opens up some interesting questions about helping students through the use of very directive writing tools, such as providing specific templates. Do you think this type of teaching is helpful for college level students? Does giving students these tools help them to become more proficient critical thinkers? www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2012/10/the-writing-revolution/309090/3/
