Attached to this post is an example of the kind of article one could for a demonstration of how to start a Conceptual Archeology. This could be particularly useful during the first in-class introduction to the Conceptual Archeology. Note how the author multiple times cites and describes a certain source (Abby Wilkerson), and then uses that source as evidence in the article's argument. The questions we might try to answer in doing a conceptual archeology are: 1) Did our new author represent Wilkerson's idea (pick one) faithfully? 2) How was Wilkerson's idea used in the new author's argument or position? 3) Where did Wilkerson get her idea from? Original research? Another author? Let's find out! When we can answer these questions, we're already moving further back into the archeology of the concept! Attachments:
